Will increased connectivity create more good or more evil in the future? Eric Schmidt, the Executive Chairman of the tech giant with the famous founding motto of "Don't be evil," is naturally concerned with this question. Schmidt teamed up with Google Ideas director Jared Cohen to co-author the book, The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business which looks at how technology will continue to reshape nearly every aspect of our lives.

Eric Schmidt is the Executive Chairman for Google. Prior to Google, he served on the board of directors for Apple Inc., the board of trustees for both Carnegie Mellon and Princeton Universities, and was chairman and CEO of Novell.

He is one the nation’s preeminent thinkers on the broad and important topic of how technology is influencing our lives and, in 2013, co-authored The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business.

In 2005, Eric created The Schmidt Family Foundation, which focuses on the responsible use of energy and natural resources and is active on Nantucket.
