Hackett is a Partner of Riverstone LLC (investors in renewable power and energy production/services).
He has served as Chairman/CEO of three global oil and natural gas exploration and production companies and was President of the Energy Services at Duke Energy, in charge of unregulated power generation and delivery, as well as nuclear engineering consulting services. Experience includes positions in engineering, finance and marketing.
Mr. Hackett is Chairman of the National Petroleum Council, a Director of Bunge Ltd., Cameron Int’l., and Fluor Corporation (Fortune 500 companies), and is the former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He serves as Chairman of the Baylor College of Medicine and is a former Board Member and adjunct professor at Rice University.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Harvard University. He is presently a special student in a Masters in Theological Studies Curriculum at Harvard Divinity School. He and his wife, Maureen, have four children
